AM PM Staffing Services is seeking Warehouse Yardmen to join our client's team in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will be filling containers with liquids using hoses along with performing other warehouse duties.
*This is a full-time, temp to perm opportunity.
Hours:
Mon-Friday
8am- 3pm
$16/hour
We pay weekly!
Responsibilities:
Use 2" hose to fill plastic totes with liquids
Arrange inventory systematically in designated outdoor or covered zones so it remains accessible and protected from the elements.
Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting using warehouse management systems (WMS) including RF scanners and AS400 platforms
Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to OSHA standards and PPE protocols
Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing materials for order picking & packing, ensuring timely order fulfillment
Maintain a clean and organized yard area by performing load & unload duties and managing stock placement with mechanical knowledge of pallet jacks and other equipment
Follow safety regulations diligently while operating heavy machinery and handling materials in compliance with OSHA guidelines
Requirements:
MUST pass pre-employment drug screen
Proven experience in warehouse operations or warehouse management systems (WMS), including inventory management and control
Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling; committed to PPE use at all times
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of safety regulations (OSHA compliance)
Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, packaging techniques, and order fulfillment processes in manufacturing or construction environments
Familiarity with RF scanners, AS400 systems, or similar technical proficiency tools used for inventory tracking
Prior warehouse experience is advantageous but not required; a proactive attitude towards teamwork and safety is essential
