AM PM Staffing Services is looking for experienced 1st Class 6G TIG/FCAW Pipe Welders to join our team at our Lockport, LA shipyard. This role requires skilled professionals with a background in shipyard welding and expertise in 6G TIG and FCAW processes. You will be responsible for performing high-quality welds on piping systems for various marine applications. Both day and night shifts are available to fit your schedule.
Responsibilities:
Perform 6G position welding on pipes using TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Ensure the structural integrity and quality of welds to meet safety and industry standards
Inspect workpieces to ensure compliance with specifications
Collaborate with other welders and team members to maintain workflow and productivity
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures at the shipyard
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a welder on a shipyard
Proficiency in 6G TIG and FCAW pipe welding techniques
Strong understanding of welding symbols, specifications, and materials
Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and quality
Commitment to safety standards and shipyard regulations
Benefits:
